"Ugh..." I stood up, slowly, and looked around to find myself locked in a cage. "How the hell did I get here?" I asked myself. I looked at myself - my legs were cut up, and had fur on them. "Fur?" I thought. My paws...I stopped looking after noticing them. I then looked over myself, and noticed that I had fur all over me, and tails...six of them. "This is odd," I thought. "How did I become like this all of a sudden? And how did I get here? Most importantly, how do I get OUT?" I didn't remember anything before then. Just waking up...inside a cage. I walked to one end of the cage and shouted, "Hello? Anyone there?" I waited, and there was no response. Thoughts raced through my head...Was I to be stuck in here forever? Who put me in here anyways? What did they want? Why do they have me in here?...Not knowing what to do, I just lied back down on the floor of the cage, waiting for someone to come and either torture me or save me. I knew one of the two would happen, but I didn't know when. All I could do was lie there and hope someone would come and help. Almost half an hour later, I heard someone screaming. The shrill voice sent chills down my spine. I looked outside the cage, to see if I could make out who was there. I only saw a few shadows, which seemed to be fighting with each other. Since there was nothing I could do, I rested my head back on the ground and closed my eyes. When I opened them, I was hanging upside down in a room by my tails, surrounded by other Kitsune, one of whom I immediately recognized. "Pyrova," I thought, too shocked for words, about to cry. I was directly across from her, facing her, seeing her pink fur stained by blood. She looked at me with tears in her eyes, her six tails hanging limp, along with her legs. I found myself filled with rage, rage for whoever made Pyrova suffer through the punishment that she never deserved. I was struggling to get free, swinging frantically, because I was only bound by my tails, which seemed to be tied to a pole above. Someone walked up to me a couple minutes. This person looked like a shadow, and all that was visible were red eyes and a muzzle. He said, "Don't try escaping. You're only wasting your time doing so." I responded, "I'd rather waste my time escaping from this, than watching the love of my life suffer." "Oh, you're not here to watch her suffer. She's here to watch you suffer." "Then why did you do that to her?" I pointed with a paw. "Oh, that? That is to make you suffer." "I'm going to kick your ass when I get down from here!" "We shall see about that." I felt two claws swipe at me. I swung backwards, and slashed at the figure, but missed. Then I felt the crack of a whip on my back. I winced, closing my eyes tightly, as I heard Pyrova crying out for the figure to stop. I then felt a very sharp dagger, carving deep into my side and into my leg. I howled in pain, struggling to get free. I looked on my leg, and saw the wound was black and oozing a yellowish liquid. Pyrova was now crying, begging for him to have mercy on me. It then began to get much hotter in the area, and very humid. Once again, the claws swiped at me, and I got whipped a few more times. I was breathing heavily, in deep pain. Not only could I not bear the pain, I couldn't bear the heat. The dark figure walked up to me, chuckling. He then showed his face - black fur, with red eyes, and crimson markings on his muzzle. His fangs were the brightest part of his face. "What? You think it's bad right now? You think it's horrible?" he asked. Pyrova was still crying, looking up at the figure. I was hardly able to breathe, from the pain, as well as from the heat. "Well, things get worser," he said as he took his claw off the ground, then slammed it hard into my chest, slashing quickly. I felt my limbs go limp. My tails went limp as well, untying themselves, causing me to fall. Everything faded as while I hit the ground headfirst, and then... I snapped back to reality, waking up in cold sweat. My heart was racing, and my head was throbbing rythmatically to the alarm clock, which thankfully woke me up, if dying in my dream didn't do it. I slowly started breathing normally again, calming down, as I sat up. I then reached to shut off the alarm clock, and looked at my hands. They were hands. I then looked at the clock, and saw it was after 7:30. "Well...time to get ready for school," I said to myself, sighing. I climbed out of bed, and put my clothes on - a pair of khakis and a white t-shirt with a biohazard symbol on it. It was a good thing that the school allowed their students to wear casual clothing today. I could at least be comfortable when sitting in my little cheap-ass cubicle that kept on falling apart. Although, I'd still be looking at the white boring walls, because I was forced to take down the pictures I had up there. Apparently, my teacher had something against naked foxgirls. He also had an issue with furry porn. But you'd have to admit, those vixens truly knew how to use their tails. After putting on my clothes, I walked downstairs and into the kitchen to pour myself a cup of coffee. As I was pouring the coffee into the cup, I reflected back on the dream I just had. The cage, the shadows...I was able to count them...6. And who was the kitsune that abused me? I've been having these dreams a lot more frequently, more so than before. The night before last, I dreamt that I was chained to a wall, and I had a horrible, stale cookie stuffed into my mouth. I also was beaten with a whip. The night before that, I had a dream I was in a dark forest, surrounded by five kitsune that attacked me at the same time. As I was still thinking about it, I forgot I was pouring coffee, and the cup overflowed, coffee spilling all over the counter. I snapped out of it, exclaiming, "Fuck!" I sipped the excess coffee from the cup to make room for sugar and milk, and I wiped up the mess on the counter. I poured some milk, and then six heaping spoonfuls sugar into my coffee, stirred it, then began to drink it. While I was drinking my coffee, I was still thinking about my dreams. There weren't just a few that I had this past week. I had at least twelve of them, most of them very disturbing. "Why would I be having these dreams?" I asked myself. "What the hell is going on?" I looked at the clock. The time was 7:50. I quickly finished my coffee, and placed my cup in the sink. I ran upstairs to my bedroom to grab my backpack. Then, I ran back downstairs, through the kitchen, into the porch, and left the house through the back door, locking it behind me. Walking down the driveway, and up the hill was normal. It was trash day, so naturally, the trash barrels were in the middle of the sidewalk, because the garbage men were too incompetent to put them back on the curb so that there was a clear path on the sidewalk. As I was walking down the hill after crossing the street on the top, I saw the park in the distance. I've always walked through that park to help myself calm down. It has always helped me relax, and cleared my mind a bit. I thought for a second. I really didn't feel like going to school. I didn't want to deal with assholes while I was dealing with a whole series of strange dreams and visions. Algebra was a pain in my ass, and I wasn't even able keep my mind straight enough to work with numbers. And forget about Bible study, I hated that class to begin with. I didn't need to hear all sorts of confusing Greek terminology about a God whose existence I was seriously questioning at this point. So, I said to myself, "Fuck it. I'm not going to school today. Just too much shit going on in my head to deal with it." I then crossed the street, and headed to the park. Once I got to the park, I walked through the path with the asphalt road. Fortunately, nobody decided to drive through here. Connecticut drivers always had the tendency to forget that people still walked at all, let alone through parks. I took a deep breath and looked around. The trees were standing tall, their leaves being the usual autumn colors - red, orange, yellow, sometimes a combination of two or three of those colors. On the ground, the leaves were turning brown, and most of them were dried up, so they crunched as I stepped on them. I continued walking on the path, thinking about the dreams I've been having. Soon, I reached a pond. Near the pond was a green shack, which supposedly was a community center or something. There were doors to restrooms, one for men, one for women. They both were locked. How convenient was that? They' were lucky that I didn't have to pee. I walked up to the edge of the pond and looked across it. The pond was covered with algae, and that made me remember coming to this pond, the first time back in 10th grade. It was for science class, we were studying how dirty it was, and ways we can improve the water quality. I've concluded that this pond water was beyond help. The second time I came here was back in May, I was just walking through here, to relax, and I saw the algae in the pond forming an image of what looked like a kitsune. I never got a picture of it, though. I've walked here two times after, but never saw anything like I had back then. This was the fifth time I came here, and I haven't seen much of anything yet. I looked down into the water, and the algae was normal, scattered all over the place. The water rippled a bit as an acorn from the tree above fell into the water, and I saw what appeared to be a reflection in the water. I looked closer, and noticed it was my reflection. It suddenly faded, changing into a fox, with light blue fur, and greenish-blue eyes. I just then remembered a dream I had back on September 27th: I was at a pond with Pyrova, celebrating her birthday, and I saw my reflection in that pond. It looked exactly like what I was looking at in this algae-infested pond. I quickly took a step back, shaking my head, and rubbing my eyes. I looked back into the water to check my reflection, and there it was again - a fox, with light blue fur and greenish-blue eyes. I backed away from the pond, looking around. “Something's seriously fucked up,” I said to myself. I slowly walked away from the pond, and back onto the asphalt path. Thoughts ran through my head as I continued walking. Why did my reflection become a kitsune?...I look nothing like one right now...Even if I am one, that pond never reflected that before...What the hell is going on? I looked around some more, and soon found a path to my left that I had never noticed. This new path seemed to lead into a forest. Since I had already walked through this boring asphalt path many times and I was sick of seeing a lousy golf course, I decided to walk onto this new path, to see what it was like. I looked around, and saw there were more trees than there normally were in this park. The leaves were still their normal autumn colors, and there were no dead leaves on the ground. Soon, the sky seemed to darken, with dark gray clouds. “Wonderful. Once again NBC fucks up on the weather forecast,” I said out loud, “They seriously need to fire that meteorologist!” As I got deeper into the forest, I heard some rustling in the trees around me. I stopped to look around, and saw nothing. I continued walking, and heard the rustling again. Then five shadows seemed to dart out and surround me on each side. I looked at the shadows, and each one looked like a kitsune. Each of them appeared to have eyes, one shadow having a different eye color than the next. Going counter-clockwise, I looked at each one – red, dark blue, gold, greenish-blue, and red. The shadows began to pace around me in circles. I had an idea of who they could have been, but what would they be doing here anyways? I stood there, not knowing what to do. A minute later, they scattered. I looked around, then continued walking through the forest. After a while, I decided to find a place to sit. I needed to figure out where I was, since this forest was obviously not part of the park. If it were, it would have liquor bottles, cigarette butts, fast food wrappers, soda cans, underwear, condoms, and many other things that littered the park itself. I wandered into a place that I have never been before. I looked around some more, and saw trees, some more trees, and yet even more trees. Though, off in the distance, I saw something, that looked like a cavern. Feeling very curious, I walked towards it. Sure enough, it was a cavern. The opening was big enough for me to enter, so I went inside. I looked around. The cavern's walls appeared to be tan rock, and the ground was dirt. The area was lit by torches which hung on the walls, one on each side, spaced about 25 feet apart. As I was walking through the cavern, something struck me as familiar, as if I had been in here before. It didn't take too long for this to be confirmed – as I was heading into one room in the cavern, I saw what appeared to be a pink fox that had six tails, lying down on a rock. Then it clicked in my mind...This was the cavern I was in five years ago, and that pink fox, was Pyrova. I ran quickly towards her, shouting, “Pyrova!” She opened her eyes, and looked at me, and spoke as I stopped in front of her. “Samui,” she said. “You've made it. Earlier than I expected, too. Don't you have school?” “I decided to skip it,” I responded. “Wasn't in the mood for school today.” “Ah...I see,” Pyrova nodded. “Yeah...so...what is this area?” I asked, scratching behind her ears, “I've never seen it before...well, I've never walked to here before in reality. I'm surprised I could see it.” “This place leads to the portal to Vultopia,” Pyrova said. “I was going to take you there to visit in 1999, but things interfered. But now, I feel things will go right this time.” “I see...But what about the forest? And those five shadows?” “Five shadows?...They were trying to interfere, I suppose. But don't worry, they can't do anything right now.” “Okay, so when do we leave?” Pyrova stood up on the rock, stretching. “Soon,” she replied, jumping onto the ground next to me. “Follow me.” She started walking towards the room to the left of the rock. I followed her, and she led me into another area inside the cavern, which had dimmer lighting – there was only one torch on each side of this room. At the end of this room was a circular door, which had a clear view of a mountain range. The view was continuously rippling slowly. Evidently, this was the portal Pyrova mentioned. Pyrova then said, “Wait here for a minute.” She walked through the portal, and I could see bluish glowing in the shape of her body in there. As her tailtips went into the other side, the image returned to its normal ripple effect. I stood, waiting for her, looking around in the room. There wasn't much else of interest in the room. Soon, Pyrova walked back out of the portal and said, “Okay. You can come now.” She walked back in, and I followed her. I closed my eyes as I felt a tingling sensation from the portal. A second later, the tingling faded away, and I immediately was able to feel the temperature of this new place, which was colder than it was in the cave I had just left. “Welcome to Vultopia,” Pyrova said. “This is going to be your new home for a while. Now, we need to get you into your real form. Follow me.” I followed Pyrova again, looking around. The path seemed to be made from ice, yet it wasn't slippery. On either side of me was snow and mountains that reached high up into the sky. Soon, there weren't any mountains on either side, but there were evergreen trees that were covered in snow. Eventually, we reached what looked like a small house. Pyrova and I walked inside it. Pyrova called out, “Hello?” Immediately, a female voice responded, “Hi, Pyrova, I'll be right there.” Soon after, a bright blue kitsune walked into the room. This kitsune also had six tails, and her eyes were bluish-green. I recognized her immediately. “Cyan?” “Samui!” Cyan ran up to me and tackled me. “You have no idea how long I've been waiting.” “Eighteen years about accurate?” I chuckled, stroking her headfur. “Yeah, pretty much.” she nuzzled my neck and jumped off of me so I could stand up. “Anyways, I've been expecting you to show up today. Here, have a seat.” Cyan pointed to a bench near the wall. I sat down, Pyrova sitting next to me. “So, how are we going to get me into my kitsune form?” I asked. Cyan replied, “I was just preparing that. Hold on.” Cyan walked out of the room. Pyrova licked my cheek and said, “This is going to be awesome. I've been waiting so long for this.” I hugged Pyrova and responded, “I've been waiting, too.” We nuzzled each other when Cyan walked back into the room, carrying a small, black cup. She placed it down on the floor by my feet and said, “Here. Drink this. It will put you to sleep, and you'll wake up in your true form.” I picked up the cup and took a sip from it. It tasted sweet, and the warmth of the drink felt soothing. I finished drinking it, and everything began to blur. “It should be taking effect by now,” Cyan told me. I nodded and said, “Yeah, everything's blurry now...and I can barely hear anything.” I laid down on the bench. Pyrova laid down next to me, and I held her in my arms. The last thing I heard was Cyan saying, “Have a nice nap.” Then, I drifted into a deep sleep. |
